Fizzing with excitement, the working day is through
The holidays are here and I can't wait to be with you
The whole year we've been parted - it broke my heart in two
But today without a doubt, is the day I get to take you out

gonna take a walk in my Christmas jumper,
Dance and sing in the wind and thunder
I won't hear a thing except sleigh bells ring
Thought the nights are long and the days are darkening
A glittery fairisle with pom poms sparkling
keeps you warm as buttered toast
New or old a Christmas jumper really is the most

You won't find me out around the town in flouncy gowns
Or jackets fit for Santa himself
And a Christmas hat, leaves me feeling flat
No my kinda tonic is a sweater and upon it something jolly like an elf

You can strut or stroll, slide or swagger
Snug and cozy or smart and dapper
The sun don't shine above but my jumper does
Loose or fitted or home knitted
Christmas bows or Rudolphs nose
The possibilities go on in my Christmas jumper all my woes are gone

If the heavy clouds won't seem to part and in your heart
you're longing for a love thats true you wonder
When you'll ever meet, someone warm and sweet
Then you're buzzing like a bumble bee
Cos you've just seen a somebody whose Christmas jumpering too

Gonna saunter, shimmy-o Santa bring me
A merry sweater
who can better this old classic friend?
